Culloden Battlefield and Inverness

The Battle of Culloden invokes perhaps one of the first images when people think of the Highlands. It was the last battle fought on British soil and ended the once proud Highland Clan system. This tour will take you to the battlefield itself. See the flag markers where the Jacobites faced against British Government troops and started their famous "Highland Charge". We will stop here for approximately 60 mins, walk through the visitor centre and have a tour by the dedicated Battlefield Tour Guides.

Many people come here to witness the grave of the Clan Fraser, made famous in the TV series Outlander. We like to remember all the clans here. Maybe your own ancestors fought here?

If you are a fan of Outlander, we will then travel to the nearby Clava Cairns, the inspiration for Craigh Na Dun in the TV series. This 4000 year old burial site provides a serene atmosphere and those mandatory Highland photo opportunities.

We will then move into the City of Inverness where you will have time to shop, eat and drink or take in the historic Inverness Castle right in the middle of the city.
